On January 22, 2025, Dunstan Vintner kicked off the year in style with Olim-ited Wine Night at Merry-Go-Round @ Siglap. The cozy venue at 930 East Coast Road, Singapore, was the perfect spot to celebrate the launch of the new vintage from Tenuta Olim Bauda, a winery renowned for its exceptional Piedmontese wines.
An Evening of Connection and Fine Wine
With around 40 wine enthusiasts in attendance, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and camaraderie. Guests enjoyed delectable finger food while savoring the evening’s curated lineup of wines, each showcasing the rich traditions and exceptional craftsmanship of Tenuta Olim Bauda.
We were honoured by Mr Gianni Bertolino's presence joining us remotely from Italy. While a formal introduction was planned, the lively ambiance proved to be too engaging for a traditional talk. Instead, we took a more personal approach, walking through the restaurant and sharing insights and stories about the wines directly with the guests.
The Wine Lineup
The evening featured an impressive selection of Tenuta Olim Bauda’s finest vintages:
Moscato d’Asti DOCG Centive – 2023: A refreshing start, bursting with floral and fruity notes.
Gavi del Comune di Gavi DOCG – 2023: Elegant and crisp, a true expression of Piedmont’s white wine heritage.
Grignolino d’Asti DOC Isola Villa – 2023: Light-bodied and aromatic, perfect for the adventurous palate.
Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG Le Rocchette – 2020: Rich and velvety, with a depth that paired wonderfully with the evening’s bites.
Nizza DOCG Riserva – 2019: A standout red, showcasing intensity and balance.
Nizza DOCG Riserva Bauda – 2019: Complex and full-bodied, a flagship wine that left a lasting impression.
Moscato Passito "Sangiovanni" – 2007: A sweet and decadent finale, perfectly capping the night.
A Toast to Tenuta Olim Bauda
The Olim-ited Wine Night was a delightful mix of fine wines, great company, and a relaxed atmosphere. The Nizza DOCG Bauda, Gavi, Grignolino, and Moscato were the crowd favorites, with everyone enjoying the diverse offerings.We’re immensely grateful to everyone who joined us for this special evening, and to the team at Merry-Go-Round for their exceptional hospitality.
