McHenry Hohnen
2016
Hazel's Hill Zinfandel
Margaret River, AU
A lifted nose of red plums, raspberries and minted chocolate combine with sweet spice box and red liquorice. The medium bodied palate displays spiced cranberry confection, sour cherry and dried prunes driven by lovely acidity and silky, chocolate dust tannins.

Today, the McHenry Hohnen vineyards are managed using 100% biodynamic methods, which dramatically improve the vitality and health of the soil, leading to wines that will continue to impress for years to come.
The Hazels’ vineyards are located in the south of the Margaret River region with blessings of cooling Southern Ocean influencer, a northerly aspect, plenty of sunshine and free-draining, ironstone gravel loam soil. Planting with a wide range of varietals, the Hazel’s vineyard forms the backbone of their portfolio.
