McHenry Hohnen
2017
Burnside Chardonnay
Margaret River, AU
Benchmark notes of cashew and roasted almonds. Aromas of pink grapefruit, melon and nectarine give way to nuances of Jasmine tea and natural ferment complexity. The palate combines power and grace with light brioche dough and lemon curd framed by a core of creamy acidity and an oyster shell-like minerality.
Pairing: Fresh Oysters, fish, seafood, soft cheeses

Today, the McHenry Hohnen vineyards are managed using 100% biodynamic methods, which dramatically improve the vitality and health of the soil, leading to wines that will continue to impress for years to come.
The Hazels’ vineyards are located in the south of the Margaret River region with blessings of cooling Southern Ocean influencer, a northerly aspect, plenty of sunshine and free-draining, ironstone gravel loam soil. Planting with a wide range of varietals, the Hazel’s vineyard forms the backbone of their portfolio.
